Now that Labor Day/New York's carnival is over next up is MIAMIIIII!!!!!
"Trini Jungle Juice introduced a new concept event to Miami Carnival kicking off the excitement on Carnival Thursday with "ARRIVALS" at the Mayfair Hotel Rooftop on Thursday 9th October 2014. "No matter where you're traveling from, once you've arrived, we welcome you to our world"".
For those who've been asking, ladies and gentlemen this will be the fete that will start my Miami Carnival weekend. Although I haven't arrived from anywhere, I will be celebrating the arrival of all my friends and family.
ARRIVALS 2014 was indescribable!!!! I heard the best Soca, Reggae, Hip Hop and R&B and had a ball. There's no way I can miss it this year! It was an event that I didn't even plan on going to and just ended up in. It was a bit far for my liking but that was actually the best location for everyone who was attending the event. People flying down for the carnival tend to fly into Miami airport (which I think is the WORST airport in not only Florida but North America) and they know their market. The fete was on the rooftop of the Mayfair Hotel in Coconut Grove. Mind you, the person who dragged me in found out about the event's location about a day or two before the event. Just as it was last year, Trini Jungle Juice will not be releasing the location until 3 days prior. You will be notified via email.
What you should know:
Price: $30 female $35 male
Attendees: Young mature crowd. 2 woman to 1 man ratio after 7pm
Food/Drink Expectations: The fete is NOT all inclusive the food and drinks are for sale. With the price you're paying to get into the dance, you couldn't expect the food and drinks to be included as well...
Venue: At this point, the location has not been made public. Ticket holders will be notified via email. (It's nice, don't worry).
Time: 3pm-10pm
Attire: Swimwear, it's a pool party. Dress appropriately not sloppy (no offense).
Entrance: You'd need to first go to the event's ticket page. Request your tickets. When requesting tickets you MUST know a committee member. If you don't know anyone on the committee, you just may be waiting forever for that ticket request to be granted. Once accepted, there would be a small processing fee anywhere from $1-3 and you're good to go!
