This statement is both true and false.
There are several cities that have indeed cancelled their carnival celebrations due to economic hardships or loss of government funding while others are simply watching their spending habits and praying for the best.
If any entire country can feel the effects of the recession, to the point that some of the major cities such as Campinas put a screeching halt on their carnival (which is their livelihood), who's to say it can't happen in Trinidad? *That is another blog BUT lol the rumor report is that NO BAND is sold out. A large band who is usually finished/close to wrapping up has only started production around Christmas and NO ONE is in good shape for 2016! Sipping tea. I wonder how Saucy's section in Fantasy is doing..
